Krimper began as an idea born from the raw beauty of forgotten spaces. Nestled inside a 100-year-old building on Guildford Lane, Melbourne, the cafe was crafted around what was already there — water-blasted brick walls, aged timber, and the remnants of an industrial past that refused to be erased.

The centrepiece is a restored 100-year-old lift car, now serving as an intimate dining booth. Recycled lift doors have been repurposed as tables. Japanese-stained ply lines the service counter. Every material tells a story of transformation — nothing here is pristine, and that's the point.

We believe beauty lives in texture, in patina, in things that have weathered time. Our food and coffee follow the same philosophy: honest ingredients, careful preparation, no pretension. Just good things made well, served in a space that feels like it's been here forever.
